Let’s keep this short !
The Samsung, GALAXY S II is a knockout punch of a phone. It is the best phone around right now (May 2011) and will stay that way for a while.

Samsung Galaxy S2 Review
The Samsung Galaxy S was one of the most popular Android phones ever. Now the sequel, the Galaxy S2 is here and expectations are obviously high.
My first impression of the Galaxy S2 are somewhat disappointing though!. The mobile phone has no appearance that stands out. It’s flat, square, and despite a slight bulge on the rear lower part, perhaps as homage to its predecessor, it is about as exciting as a black tile.
The fact is though that Samsung can make great mobile screens, we already know that. But what they have done with the screen on the Galazy S2 blew me away. With the original Galaxy S, the screen was very good but I thought the colours seemed a tad too “artificial”, a little too strong. That’s not a feeling you get with the S2. The colours are vibrant without being over-run, the focus is crystal clear, the black is really black, the white is really white and the viewing angle is nearly infinite. The large, bright screen will also come in handy when you surf the internet. It is relatively easy to get an overview while you can still read the text. The browser is fast and web clips play correctly. Fantastic usability in an area where previously the iPhone had led the way.
Galaxy S2 also performs well when it comes to ordinary phone conversations (remember them?!). The sound is clear and there is nobody at the other end who complains they cannot hear me. Another thing you certainly can’t complain about is the mobiles speed. Although the first test phone that Samsung have sent to us is “wrong” processor speed of 1 GHz, it will actually be shipped with a 1.2 Ghz processor, but even then it’s nothing that I immediately notice.
The interface is very innovative whilst still being intuitive. Samsung has some clever features that enhance the user experience. Place widgets wherever you want to create the perfect home screens for you.
The built-in music player and video player are both pretty standard. What is new, at least for me, is a basic video editing software. Speaking of videos, then, Samsung has equipped Galaxy S2 with an 8 megapixel camera phone that can shoot in full HD. If you look at the pictures and video clips on the mobile they look totally amazing, but it also has a lot to do with the phone’s display screen which I already mentioned.
If I were to choose an Android in the current situation it would be a Galaxy S2, for once you’ve once experienced its amazing screen you will never want to go back to something else.

Better than iPhone 4
Lucky enough to have had both iPhone 4 and Samsung Galaxy S II (due to having work mobile and personal mobile) and without rambling on I will say the answer to my mates asked me - if you could only have one, which one? And I would go for the Galaxy. Once you get used to Android (not as "slick" as Apple iOS) the Galaxy will win you over with the great screen and of course support for flash (sort it out Apple!).

We recently published an article on iPhone 4S versus Samsung Galaxy S2.
Let\'s see what the newest Galaxy and iPhone 5 bring us next!
First Android - Great!
This is my first Android "smartphone" and I'm loving it. The screen is superb and the apps are great. I certainly don't have any iPhone envy, the Galaxy S 2 responds really fast, no lag and intuitive just like iPhone posers go on about. Another plus point is considering everything it does, it's pretty light!
If there is a downside it's the battery life - in common with all smartphones I think... You just have to get used to charging each night.
Response: Thanks for the review.
