HTC have recently announced the launch of the HTC Salsa Smartphone, the big selling point behind the phone is the link it has with Facebook. The features of this phone allow users to post comments on your wall in the simplest and quickest possible way. However, that is not all this beautiful phone can do.
Looks wise the phone is not to different to the HTC Legend handset except for the fact that the Salsa does have a much nice 3.4 inch screen and a great quality image which is produced by the 480×320 pixel resolution.
The Salsa is a complete touch-screen, with the only buttons on the device being the power button, volume and a camera button.
Within the device you will find an icon that will link you straight up with Facebook allowing the user to make comments on their wall within seconds, ideal for all those social networking fans. Upload photos, links and videos to Facebook instantly after taking them from your device with just a click of a button.
It is of note that the Salsa device is a mid-range handset when it comes to android phones, it has an 800 Mhz processor which gives the phone good speed, but unfortunately is not fast enough to allow the device to have web based flash multimedia.
The handset has 2.3.3 Android Gingerbread built in to it; this is the most up to date version of android software and is a lovely addition to the phone. The device does have a notification bar on the home screen; this little piece of software allows users to quickly get to certain areas of the phone, for example, Bluetooth and WiFi settings. The device also has a very good quality 5 megapixel camera built in for capturing and recording those important moments, also with a front facing camera to allow video calling.
The Salsa considering it has all these great features has a really good battery life. It has been tested and has come out on top over many of the other android handsets.
To conclude the HTC Salsa is a very attractive and impressive smart phone, there is good power, excellent battery life, excellent quality images and the handy Facebook feature for those social networkers.
